How to Reconcile Transactions


1. Find the transactions you wish to Reconcile in the Budget Worksheet > Transactions tab after highlighting your specific account code. 


2. Select the Exclude Rec Items checkbox to exclude already reconciled items and then click the Refresh button.

  • This will only show unreconciled transactions on the Transactions tab. Unreconciled transactions will show 0 in the Rec Column.

 

3. Highlight all the transactions you wish to reconcile, and then click the Reconcile button.

  • The total of the highlighted transactions must equal zero, if they do not, an error message will pop up telling you the variance.

  • If the reconcile is successful Eclipse will reconcile the transactions and auto-generate a Rec number for you. In the screenshot below 0 has changed to 99 in the Rec column.

 

4. You can now run General Ledger Inquiry Reports on specific accounts and tick the Exclude Reconciled Items checkbox in the Selection tab to exclude reconciled items for that account code.


Note: If you have accidentally reconciled transactions you did not mean to, you can unreconcile them by following this guide here.
