VAT Submission Error - Error Trap -53

If you are attempting to submit VAT and receive the below error, it means that the system is failing to grab the IP Address for submission to HMRC.

 

The way to test this is to open https://api.ipify.org/ in your browser to check if it connects and returns your IP address.

If it fails, it means the IP service is down and you will have to attempt a VAT submission at a later time.
