You can alter the sequence of period numbers and their dates in Eclipse via General Ledger → Period Close.

2. The Next Period and Future Period numbers and their dates will now be editable.

Note: If you have not posted any transactions yet and have a fresh Eclipse production the Current Period number will also be editable. Once you have posted a transaction, the current period will no longer be editable for your production.

3. Type in your new period number in the Next Period, then press Tab, and then type in the new date and then Press Tab. Do the same for the Future Period.

Note: The period numbers must increment. Each Period number must be higher than the previous. You cannot have a Future Period with a lower number than the Next Period or you will receive an error.

4. Once you have set your Periods, press Cancel or the window Close button.

Note: Do not press OK or you may attempt to close your period!

5. Re-open General Ledger → Period Close to make sure your new Period numbers and dates have saved.
