Following are the instructions on how to run the new electronic super. All employers with 20 or more employee’s cannot send cheques anymore.
Firstly, you will need an Australian Super or Westpac Quick Super Account. We do not support any other file uploads.
Next, all employee’s must have a Super SPIN in their setup:
To make this easier to update bulk employee’s I have added a super excel dump to the employee setup (right click and choose Excel and then Excel Super. Example below). You can then copy\paste this back in by right clicking and choosing Paste and Paste Excel.
The transfer ID works the same as tax decs. When you upload an employee it will get a transfer ID. To exclude employee’s from being included just put in a high number like I have done below. To re-submit if their details change, make the ID zero.
We now need to create an employee and super contributions upload file.
Go to Payroll History reports like you would when running monthly super.
The first step is to create an Employee upload file.
Tick create Employee Upload and exclude contractors
Enter a folder and name for your uploads. Those users on our server will need m:\ and then the folder name and file name.
Leave the Super Transfer ID as zero unless recreating a file already run and ok’d (see below).
Press 1 Create Employee File
Your file will be created and you now need to upload this to Quick Super.
NOTE: The file created is a CSV File. You can open in Excel to look at but DO NOT SAVE the file. It will either update wrong information or add errors to the report. If you need to make changes, update employee setup and re-run.
If there are any problems with the data you will get an error report. You must fix the errors and re-run. Once the file uploads ok, Press the 2 File Uploaded OK button. This is the point in which it updates the Super Transfer ID.
You are now ready to create the super upload file.
The report detail and Include tab should be set like you would run your normal super report because you will still get a super report and you will need to check it balances to the upload.
You need to enter your Sal Sacrifice accrual code as this is separated in the upload. You also need to enter the SGC Percent as the upload needs to split any above SGC payments.
Enter the Date From\To range for the payments to be included in the file.
Click ok.
You will get your super report as well as a file created.
NOTE: The file created is a CSV File. You can open in Excel to look at but DO NOT SAVE the file. It will either update wrong information or add errors to the report. If you need to remove someone from the upload, open in notepad and delete the line and save the changes.
Upload the file to Quick Super.
Those on the standalone version should download and install updates from here: www.tphglobal.com/eclipse/update/eclipsesetupupdate.exe
