Set User Access

Set User Access per Module

Once you have created a new user, your next step would be to decide what sort of tasks the user can perform on the database. You can either set the user access for an individual user or a user group.

To set user access for an individual user/user group:

  1. From the Main Menu Bar select Control Table > User Security > Set User AccessThe Set ACCESS RIGHTS window will appear:

  2. In the Users column on the left side, a list of all the users and the user groups will be listed along with their access rights on the right-hand side.

  3.  In the Access Points column on the right-side everything that user has access to will have a check mark in it.  Check and uncheck the boxes as you deem appropriate.

  4. Once finished click the Close button

Finer User Access Controls for specific actions/buttons

  1. You can set finer user access to modules in Eclipse by pressing CTRL+F8 key on your keyboard while that specific window in Eclipse is open. This will allow you to set finer access controls for Operator accounts.

  2. For example, while pressing CTRL+F8  while the Chart of Accounts window is open in Eclipse it will bring up the below screenshot. Here you can double click on the access options for the user, then press OK.
