Change User Details

The details of the user can be changed anytime during the use of the program. This option is practical for the supervisor where he/ she can change the user access depending on the production stage.

To change the user details:

  1. From the main menu bar, click on Control Table.

  2. Select User Security Users. The USER LIST window will pop up as shown below.

  3.  Highlight the user and click on the Change button. USER DETAILS window will appear

  4. Complete the fields that need to be changed:

  • First Name: Type in the first name or the user.

  • Last Name: Type in the last name or the user.

  • Login Code:  This is the username and password that the new user will use to login to Eclipse. By default we use the individual’s initials.

  • Level: Level of the access (i.e. Supervisor, Operator, No access)

    • Supervisor - Has full access to the system and a supervisor sets up access for users.

    • Operator - Has access only to the module(s) that the supervisor has assigned to them. A User may have full access except for the ability to change another User's access.

    • No Access - No longer have access to log into Eclipse.

  • Work Group / Security Level: Specify the security level (0 - 99) i.e. the lower the security group number, the more access the user will have. This security level is how you set visibility of different Chart of Accounts, Control Accounts, Vendors, etc. See this guide for how to set this up: User Security Access and Security Levels.

  • User Group: Select from the select box that you want the user to belong to (optional). This option is handy when you have many users and organising them into groups makes things much easier and saves time having to setup the same restriction for all the users one by one. By creating a user group and then setting permissions on the group, you only need to set the restriction once for the whole group. See User Groups.

5. Click on OK to save the changes to the user details.
